Capcom, L'Arc-en-Ciel's Resident Evil VR Music Video Teased in Brief Clip
posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
CAPCOM began streaming a teaser video for its 3D VR music video collaboration with rock band L'Arc-en-Ciel on Thursday. The teaser shows the band members' impressions on performing the motion capture for the video and how accurately it captures their movements with about 100 cameras. The end of the teaser also previews the music video itself for the band's "Don't be Afraid" song.
The video is available in the Japanese PlayStation Store as of Thursday.
The collaboration celebrates the 20th anniversary of CAPCOM's Resident Evil (Biohazard) horror game series. CAPCOM scanned the band members' faces to recreate their likenesses in a 3D environment. The video depicts the band members in the world of the Resident Evil games. The video can be watched through Sony's PlayStation VR headset, which allows users to change their point of view in a particular scene in the video.
