Japanese Man Arrested for Uploading Anime Music via Share Program

Suspect allegedly uploaded 3TB of anime music, video over 10 years
The Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (JASRAC) reported on Thursday that Miyagi Prefecture Police arrested a 51-year-old man from Kumagaya City in Saitama prefecture on Tuesday under suspicion of using the file sharing software "Share" to illegally upload music and other files. JASRAC had filed the complaint on October 28.
According to police investigation, the man is suspected of using Share to download and reupload around 2,000 files and more than three terabytes of anime music and video over the course of about ten years.
