Koei Tecmo Games' Gust brand began streaming the first promotional video on Monday for the Nights of Azure 2 (Yoru no Nai Kuni 2~Shingetsu no Hanayome~) PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita game.

The game will ship in Japan on December 22. Those who pre-order the game will receive a download code for a familiar named Puni.

Koei Tecmo Games announced last month that it plans to release the game in North America and Europe. The company describes the game:

Following the success of Nights of Azure, which marked a darker direction for GUST, producer Keisuke Kikuchi returns to the demon-plagued world where players will follow the story of a young girl knight born from the blood of Arnice, the main character of Nights of Azure. Nights of Azure 2 (working title) maintains the same JRPG gameplay elements adored by dedicated fans of the studio and expands this new franchise's horizons with a riveting new storyline!

The game stars Sayaka Senbongi as Alesh Anatoria, Ai Kayano as Liliana Selfin, and Mikako Komatsu as Ruenhide Ariarod.

Hiroshi Kataoka (Sengoku Musou Chronicle) is directing the game, Keisuke Kikuchi is producing the game, Makoto Shibata (Fatal Frame series) is returning to handle the story, and Jun'ichi Fujisaku (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Blood-C scriptwriter) is supervising the story. Yoshiku is returning to design the characters.

The game is available to pre-order on the Gust Shop, and the shop is offering three different editions of the game. The Special Collection Box for the game will include: a B2-size tapestry with a new illustration, a "bath poster," a set of three keychains, a set of three A3-size tapestries, a visual book, the game's official soundtrack, a B3-size poster, a 3D card of the protagonist, a "bishōjo bromide set," a code to download a costume for the protagonist, and a code included with all first editions of the game for an item usable in the game. The set retails for 20,844 yen (about US$205) for the PS4 version and 19,764 yen (US$194) for the PS Vita version.

A separate Premium Box edition comes with the first-edition bonus download code, the B2-size tapestry, the visual book, the official soundtrack, the B3-size poster, the 3D card, the bromide set, and the serial code for the costume for the protagonist. The Premium Box edition retails for 14,364 yen (US$141) for the PS4 edition and 13,284 yen (US$130) for the PS Vita edition. The standard edition on the Gust Shop comes with the first-edition bonus download code and the B2-size tapestry, and it retails for 11,124 yen (US$109) for the PS4 edition and 10,044 yen (US$99) for the PS Vita edition.

The game's normal edition retails for 7,884 yen (US$77) for the download or package edition on the PS4, and 6,804 yen (US$66) for the download or package edition on the PS Vita.

In the original Nights of Azure "bishōjo selvan RPG, players summon "selvans" or subordinate demons to use in battle. The game's story revolves around the fate of two young women: a half-fairy named Arnas (voiced by M.A.O), and her best friend, a saint named Rulitis (voiced by Hiromi Igarashi). Tadanobu Inoue served as chief producer.

Koei Tecmo America released the game in North America on March 29, and Koei Tecmo Europe released the game in Europe on April 1. Both releases were for PlayStation 4 only. The game shipped for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita in Japan in October 2015.
