Funimation Addresses Audio Issues on Code Geass R2 Release

FUNimation Entertainment confirmed with ANN on Monday that the audio on its Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 Blu-ray Disc and DVD is only monoaural instead of stereo. Funimation offered the following comment addressing the issue:

Customers, who purchased the home video and are experiencing this issue, are asked to contact Funimation directly at productconcerns@funimation.com and the company will make efforts to remedy the situation.

Funimation released the first series, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, and second series, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2, on Blu-ray Disc and DVD on October 4. Funimation also confirmed with ANN that the audio issue is only present in the second series, not the first series.

Update: The audio issue is also on the DVD for Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2.
