Sentai Filmworks Licenses Flip Flappers Anime

Sentai Filmworks announced on Wednesday that it has licensed the the FLIP FLAPPERS television anime series. The company plans to release the series digitally and on home video.
The anime will premiere in Japan on October 6 at 9:00 p.m. on AT-X and at 10:00 p.m. on Tokyo MX. The series will also air on BS Fuji and Sun TV.
Sentai Filmworks describes the story:
Cocona is a model honor student, cautious and slow to embrace new opportunities. This makes life complicated when a mysterious girl named Papika suddenly appears, fearlessly searching for a wish-granting crystal called the “Shard of Mimi.” When fates collide and they're given the ability to transform into powerful fairy-like beings, where will the dangerous journey into “Pure Illusion” take them?
Pure Illusionist is credited with the original work for the series. Kiyotaka Oshiyama (animation director for Space Dandy, Dennō Coil, Xam'd: Lost Memories) is directing the anime at Studio 3Hz (Celestial Method, Dimension W). Takashi Kojima (Your Lie in April, Kokoro Connect animation director) is designing the characters and serving as chief animation director, and tanu (original character design for Tari Tari, The Rolling Girls) is the conceptual artist. Infinite is producing the series.
ZAQ is performing the show's opening theme song "Serendipity," and TO-MAS feat. Chima is performing the ending theme song "FLIP FLAP FLIP FLAP."
