PS4/Xbox One/PC game will launch on January 24, 2017
CAPCOM unveiled a new trailer for its upcoming Resident Evil 7 biohazard game at Gamescom 2016 in Germany on Thursday. The trailer is a "found footage videotape segment" that will appear in the final game. The young woman in the segment will not be the player character in the main game.
The game will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on January 24, 2017. The game will be fully compatible and playable on Sony's PlayStation VR headset, which launches on October 13.
The game takes place in Dulvey, Louisiana. CAPCOM launched a "Beginning Hour" demo for PlayStation Plus members in June.
