Anime Festival Asia Thailand Hosts Ai Furihata, Kanakko Takatsuki, Ayaka Fukuhara, Daisuke Hirakawa, Kenta Miyake, Masakazu Morita, Tasuku Hatanaka, Yoshiaki Hasegawa

Organizers of Southeast Asian anime convention Anime Festival Asia announced additional guests on Monday for its Thailand event, including: Ai Furihata and Kanako Takatsuki from the Love Live! Sunshine!! project's Aqours idol group, Ayaka Fukuhara, Daisuke Hirakawa, Kenta Miyake, Masakazu Morita, Tasuku Hatanaka, and Yoshiaki Hasegawa.
Event organizers also announced the event's guest cosplayers, which include Angie, Baozi & Hana, ELY, Hikarin, Konomi Akira, Liui, Sansin, Siutao, and Tomia.
Furihata and Takatsuki are members of the nine-girl Aqours idol group. The group is composed of the nine voice actress/performers that voice the characters of the Love Live! Sunshine!! project. The Love Live! Sunshine!! anime premiered on July 2.
Fukuhara has voiced roles in such anime as The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls (Rin Shibuya), Trinity Seven (Lugh), and Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio: Ars Nova DC and Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio: Ars Nova Cadenza (Myōkō). Most recently, she is voicing the character Hotaru Rindo in the Qualidea Code anime, which premiered on July 9. She has also performed theme songs for The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls franchise.
Hirakawa has voiced roles in such anime as Familiar of Zero: Knight of the Twin Moons (Giulio Cesare), Shangri-La (Souichirou Hata), Free! - Iwatobi Swim Club (Rei Ryugazaki), Blue Spring Ride (Yōichi Tanaka), JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders (Noriaki Kakyoin), Dance With Devils (Shiki Natsumezaka), Ajin (Kōji Tanaka), Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt (Cornelius Caca), and Aldnoah Zero (Harklight). He has also performed theme songs for Omamori Himari, Brothers Conflict, Free! - Iwatobi Swim Club, Dance With Devils, and Prince of Stride: Alternative.
Miyake has voiced roles in such anime as Wolf's Rain (Tsume), Lunar Legend Tsukihime (Nrvqnsr Chaos), Tenjho Tenge (Kouji Sagara), Blassreiter (Hermann Salza), Pumpkin Scissors (Orlando; Randel Oland), My Bride is a Mermaid (Gouzaburou Seto), Hayate the Combat Butler!! (Klaus), Redline (Little Deyzuna), Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn (Conroy Haagensen), the Berserk films (Nosferatu Zodd), JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders (Mohammed Abdul), Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin (Dozle Zabi), and Schwarzes Marken (Walther Kruger). More recently, he voiced the character All Might in the My Hero Academia anime.
Morita has voiced roles in such anime as Bleach (Ichigo Kurosaki), Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny (Auel Neider), Baccano! (Claire Stanfield), Eden of the East: The King of Eden (Ryō Yūki), Sengoku Basara: Samurai Kings 2 (Maeda Keiji), Tiger & Bunny (Barnaby Brooks Jr.), Kingdom (Ri Shin), Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods (Whis), Ace of Diamond (Kōchirō Tanba), Rage of Bahamut Genesis (Azazel), Kuroko's Basketball (Shōgo Haizaki), and K: Return of Kings (Yukari Mishakuji). Most recently, he voiced the character Kotarō Tennōji in the Rewrite anime.
Hatanaka has voiced roles in such shows as Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal (Yūma Tsukumo), Transformers: Robots in Disguise (Jetstorm), Ushio & Tora (Ushio Aotsuki), KING OF PRISM by PrettyRhythm (Taiga Kōgami), and My Hero Academia (Denki Kaminari). Most recently, he voiced the character Ikoma in Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, and is voicing Hisashi Mori in Cheer Boys!!. He will voice the character Kō Nagakura in Battery the Animation.
Hasegawa has voiced roles in such anime as Shakugan no Shana III (Final) (Tlaloc), Gundam Reconguista in G (Luan), Ninja Slayer From Animation (Naraki), Cardfight!! Vanguard G GIRS Crisis (Satoru Enishi), and The Lost Village (Yura Mikage). Most recently, he voiced main character Hayato Kisaragi in the Hundred anime, and reprised his role as Satoru Enishi in the Cardfight!! Vanguard G Stride Gate-hen anime.
Previously announced musical guests for the event include Aimer, Eir Aoi, GARNiDELiA, Lia, livetune+, Luna Haruna, May'n, and Suzuko Mimori.
AFA Thailand will take place on August 19-21 at the Siam Paragon - Royal Paragon Hall in Bangkok, a different venue from last year's Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre.
