Super Robot Wars V Game Announced for PS4, PS Vita

Bandai Namco Entertainment announced the Super Robot Taisen V (Super Robot Wars V) game for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on Saturday. The simulation role-playing game is slated to ship in Japan in 2017.
The game is the second project in the franchise's 25th anniversary celebration. This will be the first game in the franchise to feature characters or mecha from the following works:
- Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash
- Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam: Skull Heart
- Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam: Steel Seven
- Yūsha Tokkyū Might Gaine
- Shin Mazinger Zero vs. Great General of Darkness
- Space Battleship Yamato 2199
- CROSS ANGE Rondo of Angel and Dragon
Characters and mecha from 19 works will also return in the game:
- Muteki Chōjin Zambot 3
- Muteki Kōjin Daitarn 3
- Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam
- Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ
- Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack
- Mobile Suit Crossbone Gundam

The first project announced as part of the franchise's 25th anniversary celebration is the Super Robot Wars OG: The Moon Dwellers (Super Robot Taisen OG: The Moon Dwellers) game. The simulation role-playing game will ship for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 in Japan this summer. The game will also ship with an English-language version for the PS4 in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia.
Bandai Namco Entertainment's Super Robot Wars video game franchise includes more than 90 works (including "Best Editions") and it has sold more than 16 million copies. The franchise launched on April 20, 1991 with Super Robot Wars on the Game Boy system.
