A live-action television series adaptation of Miyuki Kitagawa's Seisei Suru hodo, Ai Shiteru manga has been green-lit. It will air on the TBS channel on Tuesdays starting this July in Japan. While Shogakukan's Petit Comic magazine already announced a screen adaptation of the manga earlier this month, it did not yet reveal that the adaptation would be a live-action television series.
The show will star:
Hideaki Takizawa as company vice president Kairi Mitsuyoshi
Aoi Nakamura as Kairi's rival in love Aya Miyazawa
Erena Mizusawa as Mia's romantically inexperienced roommate Akari Masaki
Reina Triendl as Mia's uninhibited roommate Chika Miyama
Mitsuomi Takahashi as Mia's former boyfriend Yōta Yamamoto
The July issue of Petit Comic will reveal more information about the show when it ships on June 8.
Seisei Suru hodo, Ai Shiteru centers on Mia, who works in the public relations department of a cosmetics company. She meets Kairi, the married vice president of her company, and begins to fall in love with him as he saves her as soon as she faces any trouble.
Kitagawa launched the seven-volume manga in Petit Comic in 2006, and it ran until 2008. Shogakukan published seven compiled book volumes for the series.
