Natsume collaborates with Arc System Works; game playable in this year's E3

Game developer and publisher Natsume announced on Thursday that it will collaborate with Arc System Works to release River City: Tokyo Rumble on the Nintendo 3DS in the West. The game is a localization of the Nekketsu Kōha Kunio-Kun SP: Rantō Kyōsōkyoku 3DS game.

Natsume revealed that the game will be playable at this year's E3 event.

The game is part of the long-running Kunio-kun series. Many of the installments in the series saw releases in the West, with significant changes to their story and setting, including Renegade and River City Ransom. The series is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

Arc System Works acquired the rights to the Kunio-kun series from Million Co. last June. Arc System Works has already published several Kunio-kun games, most recently the River City Super Sports Challenge ~All Stars Special~ game last October on the PlayStation 3, and in December on the PC via Steam.

Nekketsu Kōha Kunio-Kun SP: Rantō Kyōsōkyoku shipped in Japan in August 2013.
