Funimation Now Launches in the U.K. and Ireland

The website Funimation Now has launched, with the U.K. site at www.funimationnow.co.uk and the Ireland site at www.funimationnow.co.ie.

The site is in a "free 30-day beta phase" where customers can watch free for a thirty-day period before payments begin. There are three subscription plans :

- Basic: Free subtitled anime (not simulcasts) with ads, standard definition.

- Sub Pass: £3.99 a month (U.K. rates), €4.99 (Ireland rates). Subtitled anime, ad free, including simulcasts, 1080 and 720p resolution.

- All-Access Pass: £6.99 a month (U.K rates), €7.99 (Ireland rates). Subtitled anime, ad free, including simulcasts; English-dubbed anime; broadcast dubs; 'Exclusive extras'; Option to watch three screens simultaneously; 1080 and 720p resolution.

The site notes that "Some shows will still serve ads to subscribers' and 'HD is subject to availability.'
