Ghostlight to Release Way of the Samurai 3 Game on Steam

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Game previously released on PS3/Xbox 360 in 2008/2009

United Kingdom publisher Ghostlight announced on Monday that it will bring Spike Chunsoft and Acquire's Way of the Samurai 3 game to the PC via Steam. Ghostlight noted in the announcement that the game is "not far away from release," and that it will start a closed beta "soon."

Ghostlight describes the game:

Honour, sacrifice, betrayal… Your choices make you who you are. How will history remember you?

Jump into the sandals of a mysterious lone samurai during Japan's turbulent Sengoku era, in one of the most atmospheric action RPGs ever created.

Explore the villages, body-strewn battlefields, bandit fortresses, immense castles and local town of Amana, in an open world bustling with a rich cast of colourful characters that you can help, ignore or victimise.

Choose your friends and enemies carefully in a game where every decision has far-reaching consequences, and where finishing the game is just the beginning of your journey…

Acquire and Spike previously released Way of the Samurai 3 on the PS3 in 2008, and on the Xbox 360 in 2009. Both versions were released in the United States and Europe.

Ghostlight previously released the Way of the Samurai 4 PS3 game last July.

The Way of the Samurai series of games are known for having relatively short playthrough times, but contain many decisions. Player actions, and decisions on who to help, hinder, or ignore will influence the game's outcome, providing one of many different endings, encouraging multiple playthroughs of the game.
