The April issue of Ichijinsha's Monthly Comic Zero-Sum magazine published the final chapter of naked ape's Halcyon manga on Saturday, and also launched the Hitokiri Share House manga by Are You Alice? duo Ai Ninomiya and Ikumi Katagiri.
Manga creator duo naked ape, made up of Otoh Saki and Tomomi Nakamura, launched Halcyon in June 2014. The manga centers on the eccentric members of a special investigation unit within the police that investigates bizarre murders.
Viz Media published 13 volumes of the naked ape's Switch manga from its original 2002-2008 run. The manga inspired a two-episode video anime series in 2008 and 2009. The duo's Chi to Chocolate manga recently ended with its the third volume, which shipped on January 7.
Ninomiya and Katagiri's Hitokiri Share House "different species youth story" takes place in the 27th year of an alternate Meiji era (where the kanji used for "Meiji" mean "maze"). A self-proclaimed samurai named Naguri travels from the countryside to the capital Asakusa to achieve his dream, and he moves into a share house. In Asakusa spirits, samurai, and technology coexist.
Ninomiya and Katagiri ended their Are You Alice? manga last June. Yen Press published the manga's 11th compiled volume in English on February 23.
