Mr. Osomatsu Coverage Leads to Pash! Magazine's Highest Ever 1st Printing of 100,000
posted on by Egan Loo
Publisher Shufu-to-Seikatsu Sha is printing over 100,000 copies for the March issue of its monthly anime magazine Pash! on February 10. This is the magazine's highest first printing since it switched to a monthly schedule in 2012.
The March issue features the Mr. Osomatsu anime on its cover, and the first special feature in the issue is also devoted to the anime. The special feature includes a joint interview between voice actors Yūichi Nakamura (Karamatsu) and Jun Fukuyama (Ichimatsu) and a joint interview between director Yōichi Fujita and series script supervisor Shū Matsubara. The issue's bonus supplemental extras include a Mr. Osomatsu clear file folder and poster.
The January and February issues also included Mr. Osomatsu posters, and their first printings sold out, prompting Shufu-to-Seikatsu Sha to order additional print runs. Tokuma Shoten published the February issue of Monthly Animage magazine with Mr. Osomatsu on the cover on January 10, and when the issue sold out, Tokuma Shoten ordered the first ever additional print run in the magazine's 36-year history.
