Comet Lucifer Spinoff Flash Anime Short's 11th Episode Explains Ena, Zoneboyle's Past

12th episode of spinoff anime to be included in 6th BD volume on June 24

Bandai Visual began streaming the 11th episode of the Comet Lucifer television anime's spinoff SD Flash anime "Garden Indigo no Shasō Kara" (From Garden Indigo's Window) on Sunday. The short features Sōgo Amagi, Felia, and Moura (in her transformed girl form) discussing the past of Sōgo's mother Ena, and Zoneboyle. Moura quizzes Sōgo and Felia, asking them to fill in the blanks on a paragraph, which they eventually solve. The paragraph notes that Ena was studying a spaceborne material called Lucifer that could provide greater energy than even Giftjium. Zoneboyle invested in her research, in an effort to turn the planet Gift into an even richer world. The short goes on to explain that Ena was following the "Lima Hypothesis," from where the idea of Lucifer started. "Lima" stood for "L" (Lucifer) in the phonetic alphabet. Felia's power of life is the power that Ena and Zoneboyle sought. Research on Lucifer halted with Ena's death, but Zoneboyle continues the research alongside Anatolia under the codename "Lima," and with the assistance of the government, now seeks the whereabouts of Felia, who is key to the research.

This episode will be a bonus extra on the sixth Comet Lucifer Blu-ray Disc volume along with a Blu-ray exclusive episode 12 on June 24. Episode 1 will be available along with the Blu-ray-exclusive episode 2 in the anime's first Blu-ray Disc volume on January 29. Episode 3 will be available with the Blu-ray exclusive episode 4 in the second volume on February 24. Episode 5 will be available with the Blu-ray exclusive episode 6 in the third volume on March 24. Episode 7 will be available with the Blu-ray exclusive episode 8 in the fourth volume on April 22. Episode 9 will be available with the Blu-ray exclusive episode 10 in the fifth volume on May 27. Bandai Visual streamed the SD short's first and third episodes in October, and streamed the fifth and seventh episodes in November. Bandai Visual streamed the ninth episode earlier this month.

The main TV anime series premiered in Japan on Tokyo MX on October 4. Sentai Filmworks has licensed the series, and Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs.

The story takes place on the planet Gift, where precious crystals called Giftjium are buried in the earth. A young man named Sōgo lives in Garden Indigo, a prosperous mining town. Sōgo's hobby is to collect rare crystals. One day, he gets wrapped up in a riot caused by his classmates Kaon, Roman, and Otto, and he loses his way until he finds a lake deep under the ground's mining ruins. There, he meets a mysterious girl with blue hair and red eyes that gaze straight ahead. The story follows the adventure of what happens after this meeting.
