Anime's drama CDs, home videos also delayed

The January issue of Shinchosha's Monthly Comic @Bunch magazine announced on Saturday that Kohske's Gangsta. manga is going on hiatus due to the author's poor health. The magazine and official website will provide information when the series is set to resume.

The manga revolves around Nick and Worick, two men who take on jobs from both the mafia and the police in the town of Ergastulum, a rotten town filled with mafia, hoodlums, prostitutes, and dirty cops.

The manga debuted in 2011, and the seventh compiled volume shipped in Japan in July. Viz Media released the fourth volume in North America on Wednesday.

Frontier Works announced earlier this month that it is postponing the releases of the sixth and seventh drama CDs for the Gangsta. anime. The sixth CD was originally meant to ship on November 25, with the seventh slated for January 27. The company stated that the new release dates are currently unknown, and it will inform fans when it decides on new dates.

The Gangsta. anime's Japanese home video releases have also been postponed, starting with the third home video release. The anime's first DVD and Blu-ray Disc shipped on September 25, and the second volume shipped on October 28. There are six home video releases planned for the 12-episode series.

Manglobe, the studio that animated the series, filed for bankruptcy on September 29.
