This year's 24th issue of Shueisha's Margaret magazine will publish the final chapter of Arina Tanemura's Neko to Watashi no Kinyōbi (The Cat's and My Friday) on November 20. Tanemura began the final arc with the 58th chapter in July, and confirmed that the 11th compiled volume will be the last.
The final chapter will have 47 pages, an opening color page, and the manga will adorn the issue's cover. The issue will also include a bonus extra "Memorial Book" with 16 color pages. The book will include a manga epilogue about Ai and Nekota.
The manga's story centers around Ai Tachibana, a high school girl in love with a popular upperclassman, Mia Serizawa. She always looks forward to Fridays, when she works the school library and Serizawa always comes to borrow a book. Ai also tutors her fifth grade cousin, Nekota Honjō, who has a crush on her. Nekota is unwilling to let anyone take Ai, and he confesses his love for her. Ai dismisses his confession at first, but slowly begins to see Nekota's dedication.
Tanemura (Full Moon O Sagashite, Phantom Thief Jeanne, The Gentlemen's Alliance Cross) launched the manga in Margaret in February 2013. Shueisha published the manga's 10th compiled book volume (pictured above right) on September 25.
