1st One-Punch Man BD/DVD to Include 'OVA #01'

The official website for the One-Punch Man television anime series revealed on Monday that the first limited-edition Blu-ray Disc and DVD release of the series will include an OVA listed as "OVA #01." The 10-minute "Shinobiyori Sugiru Kage" (A Shadow That Snuck Up Too Close) OVA will feature a completely original story written by the manga's original author ONE.
Other video extras for the first limited-edition Blu-ray Disc and DVD include the first promo video, the advance event screening cast talk, and the "One-Punch Man Hamidashi Gekijō" (One-Punch Man Forced Out Theater) episodes #01 and #02. Physical extras include a "One-Punch Man All Stars" clear poster, a priority sales application ticket for an event to be held on September 25, 2016, a CD with a character song for Saitama and a mini drama featuring Saitama and Genos, and a 12-page booklet. Anime character designer Chikaishi Kubot will illustrate the special jacket for the home video. The first home video release will also feature cast commentary for the first episode.
The release will include two episodes and will ship on December 24. The Blu-ray Disc is retailing for 7,000 yen (about US$58), and the DVD is retailing for 6,000 yen (about US$50).
Amazon is listing that the anime will have six home video releases.
Those who purchase all six of the home video releases in advance from various retailers will also receive bonus extra items, such as a foot-tall punching balloon (from Animate), a drama CD (Amazon), a pair of trunks (Seven Net Shopping), an A4 binder (Softmap), or a sleeve case (Tsutaya). Those who purchase each of the six home video releases from Animate will also receive an A4 clear file with each release. Those who purchase the first release before November 15 from specific retailers will receive a key visual A4 clear file.
The Japanese retailer Manga-Oh is additionally listing that a bundled edition of the 10th volume of ONE and Yūsuke Murata's original One-Punch Man manga will include an original video anime (OVA). The retailer lists that the set will ship on December 4.
The manga's TV anime adaptation by Madhouse and director Shingo Natsume (Space Dandy, Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos) premiered in Japan on TV Tokyo and Niconico Live on Sunday, October 4 at 25:05 (effectively, Monday, October 5 at 1:05 a.m.). Viz Media and Daisuki are both streaming the series outside of Japan.
