Anime Festival Asia announced on Friday that the AFA Indonesia convention will host musician and actor Gackt. He will be a special guest in a "talk-show" segment on the AFA main stage. AFA Indonesia also announced that idol groups JKT48 and Pink Babies will perform at the event as musical guests. The event also added the two Attack on Titan compilation films and the Love Live! μ's 3rd Anniversary LoveLive! concert to its screening schedule.
Gackt debuted in 1994 as the frontman for the independent band Cains:Feel, before moving on to the band Malice Mizer. He started his solo career in 2009. He has performed theme songs for such anime as Texhnolyze ("Tsuki no Uta"), New Fist of the North Star ("Lu:na"), and Sket Dance ("Graffiti" and "Ikitoshi Ikiru Subete ni Sasagu"). He has performed roles in such anime as Fist of the North Star (Seiji), Shiki (Seishirō Kirishiki), and Sket Dance (Kiyoshi Date). He has also starred in live-action productions such as Moon Child (with a script he wrote himself) and the NHK Taiga drama Fūrin Kazan as Uesugi Kenshin. He has also provided theme songs for games such as Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus. He has released 46 singles and 15 albums to date, and he holds the record for the most number of top 10 singles in Oricon's singles ranking chart for a Male Solo Artist.
JKT48 was formed in 2011 and is the first sister group of idol group AKB48 outside of Japan. The group consists of 71 members divided among three teams. The group performs songs from its sister groups, translated into Indonesian. JKT48 released its first album Heavy Rotation in May 2013. The group has also released 10 singles, with the latest, "Kibouteki Refrain -Refrain yang Penuh Harapan-," shipping on May 27. Haruka Nakagawa and Rina Chikano from AKB48 also perform as part of JKT48.
The Pink Babies 14-member idol group formed last year. The group is billed as a successor to Pink Lady, a famous Japanese 1970s pop duo. The group debuted with the music video "WANTED -Shimei Tehai-" (a cover of the original 1977 Pink Lady song), and they released their first single "Nagisa no Sinbad" (a cover of the original 1977 Pink Lady song) this year. The group previously performed in Indonesia at the "Ennichisai 2015" event in May. They also performed at Japan Expo 2015 in France in July.

The films compile the first and second half of the Attack on Titan television anime. The first film opened in Japan in November 2014, while the second film opened on June 27.
The Love Live! μ's 3rd Anniversary LoveLive! concert took place in Yokohama in June 2013. The event celebrated the third anniversary of the Love Live! franchise's μ's idol group. The performance featured songs from the Love Live! TV anime's first season, such as "START:DASH!!," "Susume→Tomorrow," and "Snow halation." Lantis released a DVD and Blu-ray recording of the concert in December 2013, and the screening in AFA Indonesia will use this release to screen the concert.
