posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
The official website for the Lance N' Masques television anime series revealed on Friday that voice actress and singer Ayana Taketatsu will perform the show's ending theme song "Little*Lion*Heart." Taketatsu's seventh single, which will feature the theme song, will ship on November 4.
Lance N' Masques adapts Hideaki Koyasu's battle action novel series revolving around Yōtarō Hanafusa, a young man who is part of the last remaining order of knights in the 21st century, "Knights of the World." As he fights as the mysterious Knight Lancer, he must hide his identity behind a mask. One day he meets a girl named Makio Kidōin, and when finding that she lives alone, decides to watch over her. Novel illustrator Shino (Sunday Without God) is collaborating on the anime to depict scenes of everyday life and battles that Shino had not drawn for the light novels.
The anime stars:
- Daiki Yamashita (Yowamushi Pedal's Onoda) as Yōtarō Hanabusa
- Ari Ozawa (The Rolling Girls' Nozomi) as Makio Kidōin
- Manami Numakura (The IDOLM@STER's Hibiki) as Yoriko Sudō
- Suzuko Mimori (Love Live! School idol project's Umi) as Alice Cleveland
- Ayaka Suwa (Riddle Story of Devil's Tokaku Azuma) as Shirohime
- M.A.O ( Durarara!!×2 Shō's Vorona) as Yuifa
- Yumiri Hanamori (The Rolling Girls' Chiaya Misono) as Sae Igarashi
- Mami Koyama (Dr. Slump's Arale Norimaki) as Tafei
- Akira Ishida (Naruto's Gaara) as Shin Hanabusa
The series will premiere on TBS on October 1, and it will also air on BS-TBS, CBC, and Sun TV. Suzuko Mimori will contribute her fifth single "Light for Knight" as the show's opening theme song. Mimori's single will ship on October 21.
Kyōhei Ishiguro (Your Lie in April) is directing the anime at Studio Gokumi (Saki - The Nationals, Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky, The Severing Crime Edge). Koyasu (Akikan!, GJ Club, Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan: Demon Capital) himself will be supervising and writing the series scripts. (Studio Gokumi had edited the light novel series before being in charge of the anime production.)
Ponycan USA will localize the series for North America, and plans to dub the series if it performs well.
