Bronze/Zetsuai's Minami Ozaki Launches Dahlia Manga
posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
The official website for Shonengahosha's Young King magazine revealed on Friday that Minami Ozaki will launch a new manga series titled Dahlia on the Web Young King website starting on Monday. Ozaki is drawing the series based on Nanase Aikawa's original novel. Kikuko Kudō is writing the manga's script.
The "spiritual love story" manga revolves around Izumi Kubota, a 19-year-old woman who was born and raised in Shōnan, and Reiji Yamashita, a 27-year-old cameraman. The manga follows these two people who fall in love with each other at first sight after a predestined meeting. The manga will take place both in Shōnan and in Germany, and it will feature a love story that mixes the present with a previous era.
This year's 18th issue of Young King will publish an interview with Aikawa to commemorate the manga's serialization.
Ozaki previously worked on the Zetsuai 1989, Bronze: Zetsuai since 1989, and Debichiru ~Devil Children~ manga. Ozaki also worked with Seimaru Amagi (Get Backers, The Drops of God) on the Genji the Death's Friend (Tōkyō Genji Monogatari) manga, which DeNA's Manga Box app published in Japanese and English.
Zetsuai 1989 and Bronze: Zetsuai since 1989 both inspired video anime adaptations.
