Delayed film slated to open in Japan on January 23
Japanese film distributor TOHO began streaming a television commercial on Friday for the Nobunaga Concerto live-action film.
Saburō: I am that famous Oda Nobunaga!
Narrator & Text: Nobunaga Concerto
The live-action film is slated to open in Japan on January 23 after a delay. The film was originally slated to open in December 2015.
The film adapts Ayumi Ishii's historical manga (which also inspired a live-action television series and a television anime series) and stars Shun Oguri (Lupin III, Captain Harlock, Detective Conan, Hana Yori Dango, Space Brothers). Oguri previously starred in the live-action television series that premiered in October 2014. The television anime series premiered in July 2014, and Crunchyroll streamed both the live-action and anime series as they aired.
