posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
The September issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine announced on Saturday that manga creators Jinsei Kataoka and Kazuma Kondou (Deadman Wonderland, Eureka Seven manga) will launch a new series titled Smokin' Parade in the magazine's next issue, which Kadokawa will publish on August 26.
Kataoka and Kondou launched their Deadman Wonderland manga in Monthly Shōnen Ace in 2006, and ended it in July 2013. Kadokawa Shoten published the 13th and final compiled book volume of the manga in August 2013. Tokyopop published the first five volumes of the manga before the company shut down its North American publishing division in 2011. Viz Media is publishing the series in English in North America, and published the manga's ninth English volume on June 9. The manga received a 12-episode television anime adaptation in 2011, and Funimation released the series in North America on DVD in 2012, and in a Blu-ray/DVD combo package in July 2014.
