Torajirou Kishi's Otome no Teikoku Manga Gets 'Petit' Anime
posted on by Karen Ressler
Shueisha's online manga magazine Grand Jump Web announced on Wednesday that Torajirou Kishi's seinen manga Otome no Teikoku will get a "petit" anime adaptation. The advertisement says the characters will "move for about six seconds."
Etsuko Sumimoto (Yuri Kuma Arashi character design, Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie Part 3: Rebellion animation director) is drawing the animation. Kishi will participate by handling the coloring, and Shigeki Kimoto (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? character design) is providing support illustration.
A promotional video will debut on July 17.
Kishi (Colorful, Maka Maka, Devil) began the series in Shueisha's Business Jump, but the series was moved to Grand Jump Web when Business Jump ceased publication in 2011. The manga's eighth compiled volume will ship on July 17.
The "yuri comedy" manga explores the everyday lives of high school girls.
Kishi's Colorful inspired an anime adaptation with six-minute episodes in 1999. ADV Films released the series on DVD.
