Ad for High Speed! novel's manga adaptation also streamed

The anime studios Kyoto Animation began streaming an English-subtitled commercial on Tuesday to promote the upcoming "KYOANI & DO FAN DAYS 2015 (This Is What We Are Now!!) –Animation Entertainment–" event on Tuesday. The commercial features the characters Kumiko Ōmae from Sound! Euphonium, Mirai Kuriyama from Beyond the Boundary, Tamako from Tamako Market, and Rikka Takanashi from Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions!

The official website of the event also updated, revealing the details of the event, and containing instructions and a form for those outside Japan who want to reserve a ticket to the event.

Kyoto Animation and Animation DO will hold the event from October 31 to November 1 at Kyoto's Miyako Messe venue. Each ticket costs 2,000 yen (around US$16), and will admit one person for one day (two tickets must be purchased to attend both days). Children under 12 years old will be admitted for free.

In addition, Kyoto Animation also began streaming a commercial for the upcoming manga adaptation of Kōji Ōji and Futoshi Nishiya's light novel High Speed!, the light novel project that inspired the Free! - Iwatobi Swim Club television anime. The manga will be released this summer. Shiori Teshirogi (Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas - Meiō Shinwa) is drawing the manga.

Narrator: High Speed!, the novel that inspired Free!, will be adapted into a comic!
Text: Manga: Shiori Teshirogi, Original story: Kōji Ōji, Character design: Futoshi Nishiya, Original publisher: Kyoto Animation
Narrator: An earnest story about the boys' swimming.

The light novel is also getting a film adaptation which will open in Japan on December 5.

Kyoto Animation opened a Twitter account last month to provide various updates. The studio is handling the animation production on the currently airing Sound! Euphonium series, which premiered in April.

Update: Character's name corrected. Thanks, AkaiDown, consignia, Mr. Oshawott, Beltane70, and MischievousMelody.
