Film guest-starring Maaya Sakamoto, Daisuke Namikawa, Rino Sashihara opens on Saturday

The official website for the Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Ora no Hikkoshi Monogatari ~Saboten Daishūgeki (Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: My Story About Moving ~The Great Cactus Attack~) film began streaming a second trailer last month introducing the guest characters. The video also features the film's theme song "OLA!!" by musical duo YUZU.

Maaya Sakamoto (Ghost in the Shell Arise, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children) and Daisuke Namikawa (Kimi ni Todoke, Hetalia) are guest starring in the film as elementary school teacher Carolina and a mariachi, respectively. Former AKB48 idol group member Rino Sashihara is playing Sumaho-chan, a character who is named that by Shin-chan due to her habit of always using her smartphone ('sumaho' is Japanese slang for smartphone). Hiroaki Hirata is playing the town mayor and Kenyuu Horiuchi is playing Nene Rodriguez, also known as Rainbow Mask. Female comedian duo Nippon Elekitel Rengō members Akemi-chan (real name Koyuki Hashimoto) and Hosogai-san (Sōko Nakano) will also guest-star as themselves.

Director Masakazu Hashimoto and writer Kimiko Ueno, who both worked on Eiga Crayon Shin-chan: Bakauma—! B-Kyū Gourmet Survival!!, are returning to helm the newest film.

In the kindergartner "Shin-chan's" 23rd movie, he and his family say their goodbyes to Kasukabe City and move to Mexico.

The film opens on Saturday, April 18 in Japan.
