posted on by Karen Ressler
Metal Gear Solid series creator Hideo Kojima posted pictures of a special edition PlayStation 4 console inspired by Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain on Twitter on Thursday. Kojima said in the post that he's taking name suggestions.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is slated to ship for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC. Metal Gear Solid V consists of two separate games: Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes provides the backstory behind the events in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes already debuted on consoles in North America, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Europe last year. Both games will be released for PC via Steam in the future.
Kojima stated that he will consider the game as the last Metal Gear Solid title.
Kiefer Sutherland plays the role of Snake in the games produced and directed by Kojima. Yoji Shinkawa serves as character and mechanical designer, Hideki Sasaki as CG art director, Junji Tago as technical director, and Masayuki Suzuki as lighting artist.
Update: the 1/1 scale bionic arm pictured in the images will ship with the premium editions of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, along with an art book, field map, bonus Blu-ray disc, special case, and DLC content.
