Ryō Koshino to End Town Doctor Jumbo!! Medical Manga

Comedy manga launched in 2011; drama adaptation premiered in 2013
Kodansha's Weekly Gendai magazine will announce on Monday that Ryō Koshino's Machi-Isha Jumbo (Town Doctor Jumbo!!) manga will end in the magazine's next issue on March 2.
The story follows the local hospital director "Dr. Jumbo," whose nickname comes from his unlikely appearance. Jumbo argues frequently with Asuka, the nurse who is the daughter of the previous hospital director, but saves his patients with his great skill as a doctor.
Koshino first launched the series in Weekly Gendai magazine in 2011. The manga inspired a live-action drama that premiered in 2013. Crunchyroll streamed the drama as it aired in Japan.
