Shueisha's Jump J-Books novel imprint announced in its newsletter on Tuesday that the Kuroko's Basketball novel series, Kuroko's Basketball -Replace-, will get a manga adaptation in the Shonen Jump+ online magazine. The artist has not yet been confirmed.
The novels tell the story of the generation of miracles' middle school years, and compile other short stories.
Sawako Hirabayashi (Wolf Girl & Black Prince series composition) writes and the original manga artist Tadatoshi Fujimaki illustrates the novels. Shueisha published the first volume in March 2011 and the fifth and most recent volume in May 2014.
The series has more than 1.9 million copies in circulation, and ranked among the top ten best-selling light novels in Japan for 2013 and 2014.
