posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
A trademark application for Cinderella Girls was filed for arcade games in Japan on December 3, and it was made public on December 25.
The idol-raising franchise already includes a mobile game and as of 2012, it earns about 1 billion yen (about US$9.6 million) each month, and has over four million users. The game has inspired a line of goods, various manga adaptations, and CD character song singles. The first five character song singles released ranked in the top 10 on the weekly Oricon charts.
The upcoming television anime will premiere on January 9.
