Epilogue takes place in America for original anime that premiered last year
Artist Ryū Naitō announced on his official Twitter account on Monday that he will provide the illustrations for a Gen'ei o Kakeru Taiyō (il sole penetra le illusioni ~ Day Break Illusion) web novel titled Gen'ei ni Mau Shirogane (The Silver That Dances in the Illusion) that will serve as an epilogue to the original anime series. The novel series will take place in America, and will star new characters not featured in the anime. More details will be announced on the novel's website at a later date.
The show's story is set in a world that has been ruled by two kinds of tarot cards since ancient times. Diabolos Tarot is a devil's tarot that feeds on the souls of those without sin and thus causes much misfortune. Elemental Tarot is the source of nature's power to counter the Diabolos Tarot. Girls are chosen from 22 clans to wield the Elemental Tarot cards in battles unbeknownst to other humans. To maintain the balance of the world, they may become the executioner or savior.
The anime premiered in Japan last year. Aniplex of America licensed the series for a North American release, and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan.
