Teekyū Spinoff Manga Takamiya Nasuno Desu! Gets Anime
posted on by Egan Loo
Teekyū manga artist Piyo teased on Sunday that the Teekyū spinoff manga Takamiya Nasuno Desu! (I Am Nasuno Takamiya!) "seems like it'll be made into anime." Piyo is one of the guests at Sunday's Earth Star Matsuri event in Tokyo on Sunday.
As the title implies, the "full-burst gag comedy" spinoff manga centers on the daily life of Nasuno Takamiya, the "exceedingly airheaded" school tennis club member in Teekyū, and her friends.
Piyo and manga creator Roots launched the spinoff in Earth Star Entertainment's Comic Earth Star magazine earlier this year. Piyo and Roots launched the original Teekyū manga in Comic Earth Star in early 2012, and the first anime season was announced just months later on the manga's first book volume. Earth Star Entertainment claims that this is the fastest television anime adaptation ever.
A second and third season followed, with Crunchyroll streaming both series as they aired in Japan. Roots had announced in August that that a fourth anime season of Teekyū had been green-lit.
