A trailer for the upcoming Knights of Sidonia compilation film began streaming on Friday.

The first key visual for the film was also released. The text in the poster reads, "The Last Hope can't be let go of."
The theatrical film edition of the first Knights of Sidonia television anime season will open on March 6. The film will be a compilation of all 12 episodes of the season with new sequences and redone sound effects. Kobun Shizuno, the director of the first season, is also directing the movie.
The film will be followed by a second TV anime season, Knights of Sidonia: Battle for Planet Nine, in April.
