Novelist to Launch New Danganronpa Project in 2015

Japanese novelist Yūya Satō posted an advertisement on Twitter on Saturday, confirming that he will write for a new project for Spike Chunsoft's Danganronpa franchise. The "shocking" project will launch from Seikaisha's Fictions imprint, which also publishes the Danganronpa side-story novel series about Kyoko Kirigiri, and previously published the two-part novel series Danganronpa/Zero in 2011.
Sato previously wrote the novel Dendera, which Viz Media's Haikasoru imprint will publish in English in February. The novel received a live-action film adaptation in 2011.
NISA licensed and released the first two Danganronpa games in North America and Europe as Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa: Goodbye Despair. A spinoff game, Zettai Zetsubō Shōjo Danganronpa: Another Episode (Absolute Despair Girl Danganronpa: Another Episode), shipped on September 25 in Japan. The franchise inspired a television anime series that premiered last July, and Funimation streamed the series as it aired. A stage play adaptation ran earlier this month in Tokyo.
