Death Note's Obata to Relaunch Gakkyū Hōtei Grade-School Legal Manga
posted on by Egan Loo
This year's 50th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is announcing on Monday that artist Takeshi Obata (Death Note, Hikaru no Go, Bakuman., All You Need Is Kill) will join writer Nobuaki Enoki in relaunching the manga series Gakkyu Hotei (School Investigation Court). The revived series will debut in the first issue of 2015, which will actually ship on December 1.
Enoki originally ran the first version of this "shocking court mystery" under the same title in the Jump Live smartphone manga service last year. The story follows court trials that deal with offenders at an elementary school.
Obata is relaunching the series with his art; Enoki drew his own art in the manga's first run on Jump Live last year.
