Voice Actress Kazuko Yanaga Passes Away

Talent agency 81 Produce announced on Tuesday that voice actress Kazuko Yanaga (Kazuko Ohtsuka) passed away on Saturday, November 1 due to sepsis. She was 67. She leaves behind her husband, voice actor Houchu Ohtsuka (Yoshitada Ohtsuka). A wake will be held on Thursday evening, followed by a service on Friday morning in Tokyo.
Yanaga played Ranko Midorikawa in Ace o Nerae! anime franchise, Kuroko Sanada Sato in Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files, and Fyana in Armored Trooper Votoms. She also dubbed over Sigourney Weaver's Ellen Ripley character in the Japanese version of Aliens and Meryl Streep's The Queen Ant character in The Ant Bully.
