Tokyo Yamimushi Crime Manga Gets Sequel Film in 2015
posted on by Egan Loo
This year's 21st issue of Hakusensha's Young Animal magazine is announcing on Friday that a film adaptation of Yuuki Honda's seinen manga Tokyo Yamimushi -2nd Scenario- Pandora has been green-lit. The film will open next year. The magazine will reveal more details about the film in the future.
The story of the sequel manga revolves around Kō Nonomiya, a respectable, upstanding salaryman. One night, his subordinate NaŌki Takahashi brings him to a cafe where Nonomiya becomes the victim of an outrageous ripoff. Nonomiya then meets Asamura, a debt collector who lives in Tokyo's darker recesses, and the salaryman comes face-to-face with the hidden, crime-ridden underworld of the metropolis.
Honda launched Tokyo Yamimushi -2nd Scenario- Pandora in Young Animal last year, and Hakusensha will publish the fourth compiled book volume on October 29. Honda's first Tokyo Yamimushi manga series, which ran in Young Animal from 2010 to 2013, already inspired a live-action film last year.
