Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai School Comedy Novels Get Anime

Students rise against council president in country that bans dirty jokes

Shogakukan's Gagaga Bunko imprint opened a special site for its Gagaganbaru 2015 project campaign on Friday, and the site announced that an anime adaptation of Hirotaka Akagi's Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai (A Boring World Where the Concept of Dirty Jokes Doesn't Exist) school comedy light novel series has been green-lit.

The story is set 16 years after the "Law for Public Order and Morals in Healthy Child-Raising" banned coarse language in the country. Tanukichi Okuma enrolls in the country's leading elite public morals school and is soon invited into the Anti-Societal Organization (SOX) by its founder, Ayame Kajō. As a member blackmailed into joining by Ayame, Tanukichi ends up taking part in obscene acts of terrorism against the talented student council president Anna (for whom Tanukichi has a crush).

Akagi launched the light novel series with illustrations by Eight Shimotsuki in 2012, and Shogakukan published the seventh volume in September. N' Yuzuki has been drawing a manga adaptation in Mag Garden's Monthly Comic Blade magazine since this past spring.
