Seven Seas Adds Freezing Action Manga

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Manga inspired two television anime seasons

North American publisher Seven Seas Entertainment announced the company acquired the rights to Dall-Young Lim and Kwang-Hyun Kim's Freezing action manga on Tuesday. The company will release the series in two-in-one omnibus collections starting in June 2015. The announcement is the last planned for this week.

The manga follows Kazuya, a boy who lost his sister in humankind's fight against beings from another dimension. He enrolls in a military academy for combat training against the dimensional beings. There, a group of girls known as "Pandora" prepare to fight the unknown enemy.

The manga currently runs on Kill Time Communication's Comic Valkyrie manga website. The publisher will release the 25th compiled volume on October 25.

The manga was adapted into two anime seasons. Funimation streamed the first 12-episode season as it aired in Winter 2011. The company then acquired the home entertainment, broadcast, theatrical, digital, and merchandising rights for the season.

Funimation also streamed and acquired the home video rights for the Freezing Vibrations anime series.
