Hunter × Hunter Manga Hiatus Continues Until Further Notice

This year's 41st issue of Shueisha's Shonen Jump magazine is announcing on Monday that Yoshihiro Togashi's Hunter × Hunter manga will continue its hiatus due to the author's illness. The manga will not be featured in the next issue on September 13, and the return date for the series has not been decided on. Once the return date is decided, the staff will post the information on the cover of the issue. The staff also notes that in order to restart the manga as soon as possible, preparations on treatment for Togashi are moving along.
Shueisha shipped the 32nd compiled volume in Japan in December 2012, and Viz Media released the same volume in North America in April. The manga inspired two television anime series; the latest one has been running since 2011, but it will end with episode 148 on September 23. The manga also inspired two anime films and several original video anime titles.
