Otakon Addresses Pre-registration Issues

Technical difficulties rose when Otakon began pre-registration pick-up on Thursday. The convention staff was only able to process about 10,000 members before the end of the day, due to "internet related limitations" and procedural issues, so an estimated 7,000 to 8,000 members had to wait at least until the next day. The convention also acknowledged that miscommunication led to people misunderstanding when pre-registration would end on Thursday.

The convention issued an apology and vowed to continue identifying and addressing the issues going forward.
