Manga creator's Kin Kyori Renai gets live-action film adaptation this October
The August issue of Kodansha's Bessatsu Friend magazine announced on Saturday that Rin Mikimoto's shōjo manga series Kyō no Kira-kun (Today's Kira-kun) will end in the following issue on August 11. The eighth compiled volume shipped in Japan on May 13.
The story follows an eccentric girl named Nino who keeps a parrot on her shoulder and a carouser named Kira who passes his days with nonsense. Their houses are next to each other but they have never spoken, until one day Nino finds out Kira's secret and their fates intertwine.
Mikimoto's shōjo manga series Kin Kyori Renai will get a live-action film adaptation this October starring former NEWS group member Tomohisa Yamashita.
