Yondemasu yo, Azazel-san Manga Goes on Hiatus
posted on by Jennifer Sherman
This year's 12th issue of Kodansha's Evening magazine is announcing on Tuesday the Yasuhisa Kubo's Yondemasuyo, Azazel-san (They're Calling for You, Mr. Azazel) manga will begin a hiatus in the following issue. The Evening editorial staff thanked readers for their support and said that the series' return is planned for this summer.
The gag comedy story revolves around the detective Akutabe, his assistant Rinko sakuma., and the various magical demons (such as Azazel) that Akutabe uses for his cases. The manga has been running in Evening since 2007, and the series was nominated for the 2nd Manga Taisho Award in 2009.
The manga's 11th volume will bundle an original anime DVD when it is released on June 23. The fourth, fifth, and eighth manga volumes shipped with the first, second, and third anime DVDs, respectively.
The supernatural comedy manga inspired a television anime series in 2010 and a second season that debuted last year.
