Viz Offers Fate/Stay night Manga in Digital Format

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
First volumes were previously released by Tokyopop

Viz Media's Viz Select imprint is offering the first digital volume of Fate/stay night manga by Dat Nishiwaki (Datto Nishiwaki) for US$4.99. Tokoypop previously released the beginning of this manga adaptation of Type-Moon's visual novel. The manga ended after a roughly seven-year run in 2012.

Viz Media describes the story:

When he was little, high school student and amateur mechanic Shirou Emiya was adopted by a magus man. Now he wants nothing more than to follow in his stepfather's footsteps and become a herp of justice. Little does he know tha a war is waging among some chosen magi, and that he is about to become its focal point... The manga addition to the super-popular multimedia franchise has finally arrived!

Funimation released the Fate/stay night anime series box as one of its first anime DVDs from its distribution deal with Geneon Entertainment followed by a Blu-ray release last year. The anime is getting a remake by ufotable this fall.

The Viz Select imprint is also releasing Yuna Kagesaki's Chibi Vampire manga and Yukiru Sugisaki's D.N.Angel manga digitally. Both were formally released by Tokyopop.
