posted on by Karen Ressler
This year's June issue of Kodansha's Monthly Shōnen Rival is announcing on Friday that the next chapter of Shuya Uchino and Kanta Mogi's Naze Tōdōin Seiya 16 Sai ha Kanojo ga Dekinai no ka? (Why Can't Seiya Tōdōin, 16-Year-Old, Get a Girlfriend?) will be the last. The issue will also announce that a live-action drama adaptation of the series is currently in development. The drama changes the age in the title to 18.
High school student Seiya Tōdōin is handsome, athletic, smart, and rich--but he can't get a girlfriend. The story follows his repeated attempts to win girls over. Mogi and Uchino launched the series in 2011, and Kodansha shipped the seventh volume on March 4. The next issue of Monthly Shōnen Rival will ship on June 4.
