Liar Lily/Usotsuki Lily Shōjo Manga Has TV Anime Listed by Amazon
posted on by Egan Loo
Amazon Japan's listing for the May issue of Shueisha's free electronic publication Margaret Comics News reports that a television anime adaptation of Ayumi Komura's shōjo manga Liar Lily (Usotsuki Lily) has been green-lit. Shueisha has not made this announcement through other venues.
The slapstick romantic comedy centers around Hinata Saotome, a first-year high school student who finally gets asked out by a boy. Her new boyfriend En Shinohara happens to be a devastatingly handsome boy … and a cross-dresser. En has complete hatred for all males — including himself — and loves the female form.
Komura launched the manga in Shueisha's Margaret magazine in 2009, and Shueisha will publish the 15th volume on April 25 (the same day that the next Margaret Comics News is scheduled.) The manga already inspired a Vomic (comic with voices) with Asuka Ōgame and Yūki Kaji in the lead roles.
The Vomic also had Mai Nakahara as Hinata's friend Komachi Ashiya and Hikaru Midorikawa as En's friend Naota Takanashi
Maaya Uchida played the twin sister roles of Hinata's friends Emi and Niko Hashimoto.

Update: Amazon Japan's listing has been updated to state that Ao Haru Ride has a television anime green-lit, not Liar Lily.
