Attack on Titan 13 Is 1st in Series to Sell 1 Million in 1 Week

The 13th volume of Hajime Isayama's Attack on Titan manga series, which shipped in Japan on April 9, is the first volume in the franchise to sell more than 1 million copies in its first week. Oricon reports that the normal edition of the volume sold 1,130,508 copies in its first five days, while the limited edition, which bundled an original anime DVD, sold 270,272 copies. The two editions ranked at #1 and #2 respectively for the week of April 7-13 on Oricon's weekly comic rankings.
Additionally, the first volume in Gun Snark and Hikaru Suruga's spinoff series Attack on Titan: No Regrets sold 140,186 copies to debut at #4, and the second volume of Satoshi Shiki's manga adaptation of Ryo Suzukaze and THORES Shibamoto's spinoff light novel series Attack on Titan: Before the Fall sold 107,117 copies to debut at #10.
The special edition of the first volume of Attack on Titan: No Regrets sold 100,530 copies to rank at #11, and the fourth volume of Saki Nakagawa's Attack on Titan: Junior High spinoff series sold 81,178 copies to debut at #13.
Isayama's hit original manga now has 36 million copies in circulation.
