Suda51 offers condolences for his former colleague
Grasshopper Manufacture head Goichi "Suda51" Suda confirmed on Friday that Masato Masuda has passed away at the age of 48. Masuda created the Fire Pro Wrestling game series at Japanese game developer TRY in 1989.
Suda51 wrote on Twitter, "He was 48 years old, still young. I genuinely pray for his happiness in the next world." Suda51 and Masuda worked together on the series in the early 1990s.
The series spanned over 20 titles, including multiple spin-offs for WonderSwan, Dreamcast, Game Boy Advance, and PlayStation 2 consoles. The Fire Pro Wrestling - Legend Series game was released in North America via the XBox Live Arcade in 2012.
