Players can challenge one another in races online
The official Nintendo YouTube channel began streaming two videos for the upcoming Mario Kart 8 game for the Wii U. The video introduces brand new and revamped courses including Sweet, Sweet Canyon, Rainbow Road, and Toad's Turnpike and new characters like Lemmy, one of Bowser's kids from Super Mario 3 and Super Mario World. The game will also have new Boomerang and Piranha Plant items.
The levels include "anti-gravity" race tracks that allow players to race along walls and even upside-down. Players can share their races with friends via the Mario Kart TV feature and Miiverse and challenge players worldwide by racing online.
Mario Kart 8 will be released for the Wii U console on May 30.
