Funimation Announces Karneval English Cast, Streams Trailer

Blu-ray/DVD to ship June 10

Funimation Entertainment announced the dub cast and main staff on Tuesday for the anime Karneval. The series will ship on a Blu-ray and DVD combo pack on June 10.

The cast includes:

  • Greg Ayres as Gareki
  • Sean Michael Teague as Nai
  • Christopher Bevins as Yogi
  • Jad Saxton as Tsukumo
  • Ian Sinclair as Hirato
  • J. Michael Tatum as Tsukitachi
  • Vic Mignogna as Karoku
  • David Matranga as Akari
  • Jessica Cavanagh as Iva
  • Aaron Dismuke as Jiki
  • Alison Viktorin as Kiichi
  • Jerry Jewell as Azana
  • Tia Ballard as Eleska
  • Brandon Potter as Uro
  • R Bruce Elliott as Palnedo
  • Jason Liebrecht as Kiharu
  • Tyson Rinehart as Kagiri
  • Anastasia Munoz as Miné

Christopher Bevins will be the series' ADR director and Kevin Leasure will serve as ADR engineer.

Funimation also released a dub trailer.

Funimation describes the story:

Armed with only an abandoned bracelet as a clue, Nai searches for someone dear to him. After a run in with a pick-pocket named Gareki, the two find themselves involved in a government set-up that leaves them wanted criminals. Desperate and on-the-run, Nai and Gareki turn to the country's most powerful defense organization – “Circus” – for help.

Eiji Suganuma (Kodomo no Jikan, Mashiroiro Symphony - The color of lovers, Ninja Cadets, Sasameki Koto) directed the Spring 2013 anime of Touya Mikanagi's Karneval manga at Manglobe (Deadman Wonderland, Hayate the Combat Butler: Can't Take My Eyes Off You, Mashiroiro Symphony - The color of lovers, Ergo Proxy) and Touko Machida (THE IDOLM@STER, Lucky Star, Amnesia) handled the scripts. Toshie Kawamura (Yes! Precure 5, Smile Precure!, Mashiroiro Symphony - The color of lovers) served as the character designer and chief animation director for the series. GRANRODEO performed the opening theme song "Henai no Rondo." Funimation streamed the series as it aired.
